Section 20
<br> not to be influenced
During the election, the candidate or election representative or any other person shall not do any of the following to influence any candidate or voter or any person concerned or interested in any of them or the election officer or the employee involved in the election:-
(a) obstructing or imprisoning or imprisoning any person for the purpose of depriving him or her of contesting the election or dissuading him or her from exercising the right to vote in accordance with prevailing federal laws relating to elections,
(b) displaying or using any kind of firearms or explosives,
(c) causing any damage,
(d) Intimidation, threats or intimidation,
(e) harming social reputation, social exclusion or threatening to social exclusion,
(f) in any way showing greed or financial inducement,
(G) Preaching religion or making promises.
(2) Electoral officer, polling officer or employee involved in election work, official, monitor or security personnel or observer or media person assigned by the commission or any organization to do any kind of work in favor or against any candidate in the election except to vote for any candidate in accordance with the law. or should not be done.
(3) A person who contravenes clause (a) or (b) of sub-section (1) shall be punished with a fine which may extend to two lakh rupees or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with both.
(4) Any person who contravenes clauses (c), (d), (e), (f), (g) or sub-section (2) of sub-section (1) shall be punished with a fine up to one lakh rupees or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with both.
